Creative Time has appointed DLX NYC as its agency of record, supporting communications strategy, media relations, strategic partnerships, and select programs and events, including its annual gala.
Creative Time is a New York-based public arts organization that works with artists to contribute to the dialogues, debates and dreams of our times. Since 1974, the nonprofit has commissioned and presented over 350 ambitious public art projects in partnership with thousands of artists and organizations throughout New York City, across the country and around the world, including outer space. Creative Time brings ambitious artists’ projects to the public, free and open to all.
Signature projects and programs include Charles Gaines’s Moving Chains (2022), Duke Riley’s Fly By Night (2016), Kara Walker’s A Subtlety (2014), Julian Laverdiere and Paul Myoda’s Tribute in Light (2002), Gran Fury’s Kissing Doesn’t Kill: Greed and Indifference Do (1989), Art in the Anchorage (1983-2001), and, most recently, the Creative Time Sandcastle Competition at Rockaway Beach.
Over its more than five-decade history, Creative Time has worked with some of the most influential artists of our time, including David Byrne, Nick Cave, Félix González-Torres, Jenny Holzer, Rashid Johnson, Suzanne Lacy, Simone Leigh, Marilyn Minter, New Red Order, and Yoko Ono.
Led by Executive Director Jean Cooney, Creative Time continues to create new platforms for artists and engage broad audiences through projects that affirm public space as a site for creative and free expression.
