TURNER Welcomes Travel Oregon as Newest State Tourism Client

TURNER, a Shipyard brand, announced its partnership with Travel Oregon, marking TURNER’s sixth state tourism client. Through a dedicated national public relations program, TURNER will work to elevate Oregon’s perception among consumers and strengthen the state’s position as a must-visit destination for travelers seeking meaningful outdoor, culinary, cultural, and hospitality experiences.

As Travel Oregon’s national public relations partner, TURNER will lead an integrated program spanning strategic communications, proactive media relations, media and influencer familiarization visits, events and activations, deskside tours, content creator recommendations, and earned media generative engine optimization. The program will bring Oregon’s distinctive story to life through the state’s key visitor experiences: nature that nurtures, world-class culinary, abundant creative and cultural heritage, low-key luxury, and a welcoming spirit for all.

Part of The Shipyard since 2024, TURNER focuses on earned-first PR & social media and has a 25+ year legacy of storytelling that inspires connection and fuels brand love. With a showroom and office in New York, HQ in Denver, and satellite teams in markets including Oregon, Chicago, Miami, Madison, Los Angeles , and Austin, TURNER serves as the North American agency for global and domestic brands of all sizes.

“We are really looking forward to working with TURNER as we continue to build national recognition for Oregon as a world-class destination where visitors have a rich diversity of culinary, outdoor and cultural experiences — accessible to all,” said Julia Amato, Director of Communications, Travel Oregon. “TURNER’s creative approach to storytelling and blend of national and local representation is just what our state needs.”

A key focus of the partnership will be ensuring Oregon’s reputation as a welcoming destination for all is reflected throughout the program. TURNER will thoughtfully engage media from diverse backgrounds and incorporate Oregon’s diverse businesses, communities, and experiences into media initiatives where appropriate.

“Welcoming Travel Oregon as a client partner means something different to us — so many of our team members have their own history with the state, from weekend trips to the coast to hikes through old-growth forests, evenings at the Shakespeare Festival and afternoons exploring wine country,” said Adél Grobler, TURNER Senior Vice President. “We’re not just marketing a destination — we’re sharing the Oregon we know and love. Oregon has so much richness, and we can't wait to share its many layers with national audiences.”
