On Saturday 5th September, Georgie’s Bar (pictured bottom), the new bar from Tom Kerridge, will open alongside an evolved Kerridge’s at Corinthia London (pictured top), eight years after the restaurant first arrived in the capital.
Since opening in 2018, Kerridge’s has become a fixture of London’s dining scene, known for Chef Tom Kerridge’s celebrated British cooking and generous hospitality. On re-opening, guests will be able to experience a larger, more prominent Georgie’s Bar, located beside Kerridge’s restaurant, which will be more intimate in approach.
Designed as a destination in its own right, Georgie’s Bar introduces a relaxed and social way to experience Kerridge’s, whether for a Martini and something to eat at the bar, drinks before dinner, or a longer evening. Kerridge’s will continue the seasonal, produce-led classic cooking that has defined the restaurant since opening.
Georgie’s Bar: Cocktails, Classic Pours and Bar Food
Georgie’s drinks programme is concise, spotlighting new signatures, a collection of classics and a wider bar offering, bringing together spirits, wines, beers and ales from the UK and beyond. The draught selection includes Rebellion Lager, Hazy Pale and IPA from the Marlow Brewery, long associated with Tom Kerridge’s pubs.
At its heart is Georgie’s Martini club, with the introduction of four Martinis served straight from the freezer: Dry, Wet, Dirty and the Steak. The latter is Georgie’s take on the classic Gibson finished with a house-smoked pickled onion. The classics span the French 75, Cosmopolitan and Tommy’s Margarita to the Hemingway Daiquiri, Negroni, Old Fashioned, Manhattan and Espresso Martini.
Food at Georgie’s Bar follows the same straightforward approach, with a dedicated bar menu of familiar dishes designed as the ultimate drink pairings. Snacks include Pork scratchings, Beef jerky, ‘Frickles’, and Buttermilk fried chicken, while larger plates such as a Cheeseburger with BBQ brisket, Pink shellfish brioche rolls with Bloody Marie-rose sauce, and Haddock fritters with Matson sauce - a riff on Tom Kerridge’s legendary Fish and Chips - all feature on the menu.
The name Georgie’s carries a piece of Kerridge history. Georgie was Tom Kerridge’s Boxer, whose paw print was left in wet concrete while the floor was being laid at The Hand & Flowers in Marlow. The print later became an emblem of Kerridge’s in London and now forms part of the identity of Georgie’s Bar, appearing across details throughout the space.
Kerridge’s: British Cooking, the Chef’s Larder, Tom Kerridge Signatures
At Kerridge’s, Head Chef Tom Childs will continue to lead the kitchen day-to-day in partnership with Tom Kerridge, carrying forward the restaurant’s approach to generous, produce-led British cooking.
The à la carte menu combines British favourites with elevated dishes, from crab crumpet and Orkney scallop pie to John Dory and Cornish lobster Thermidor, followed by nostalgic desserts.
The Chef’s Larder showcases premium British meat and fire-led cooking, with guests selecting from cuts including dry-aged ribeye, sirloin, fillet and Côte de Boeuf. Sunday lunch centres on roast ribeye with traditional accompaniments, while The Wine Cellar balances familiar varieties with distinctive selections chosen to complement Kerridge’s bold, best-of-British cooking.
The Design
The redesign creates two distinct spaces while retaining Kerridge’s established character. Georgie’s Bar offers a more expansive, social setting with banquettes, bar stools and intimate tables, while Kerridge’s sits behind a velvet partition in a concealed 57-cover dining room.
Rich leather, dark timber, marble, brass and atmospheric lighting define both spaces, with navy and warm gold accents distinguishing Georgie’s. Artwork by Beth Cullen-Kerridge and artists represented by West Contemporary adds character, alongside bespoke mixed-media tabletops by Robi Walters made from collected menus. A bronze sculpture of “Steve” and Georgie’s paw print further connect the spaces to the restaurant’s history. On Saturday evenings, Georgie’s Bar will also feature a DJ and curated playlist.
