Hall PR is now representing Charela Inn, a family-owned beachfront inn on Negril's famous Seven Mile Beach and one of the last true independent, locally rooted properties on Jamaica's north coast. Built in 1975 and owned by Sylvie Aicha Grizzle and husband Daniel Grizzle since 1980, the Inn has grown from a 10-room guesthouse into a hacienda property with 59 seaview, garden view, and family-sized rooms. It’s set back on 250 feet of white-sand beach and features a private pool and signature farm-to-table restaurant, Le Vendôme. 

Farm-to-Table French-Jamaican Dining at Le Vendôme

At the heart of Charela Inn is Le Vendôme, the property's oceanfront restaurant, where a menu shaped by the owners' Jamaican and French heritage draws on the Inn's own working farm. Cocoa Farm, a 174-acre hillside property above Negril, has supplied Le Vendôme's kitchen since its opening, growing callaloo, cabbage, okra, string beans, ackee and seasonal fruit, and raising the sheep, cattle, goats and chickens behind the restaurant's meat and eggs. The result is a daily-changing five-course menu and à la carte offering that pairs French classics like duck à l'orange with Jamaican staples like curried shrimp and red snapper in coconut milk.

Entertainment

Charela Inn has built a reputation as one of Negril's liveliest stages, hosting live jazz, vintage reggae, and R&B every Thursday and Saturday night, drawing guests and locals alike for dancing under the stars.

Weddings

The Inn's beachfront and garden settings, including an indoor dining room, open-air dining terrace, patio, and bar, each accommodating between 10 and 130 guests, make it a longstanding destination wedding venue on Negril's Seven Mile Beach. Through partnerships with local planners, the Inn offers tailored events often featuring a five-course dinner, champagne service, and open bar.
