What began as an elegant journey from Venice to Amsterdam evolved into a key cultural moment onboard. Amid Art Deco grandeur, expertly crafted cocktails, and Europe’s ever-changing landscapes, guests immersed themselves in the experience, unaware of what was to come. Having been invited to travel on the train, Leon Bridges surprised guests onboard with an intimate and exclusive set. Offering a first glimpse of music from his forthcoming album, Happiness Anytime, he showcased the signature fusion of retro soul, R&B, and Americana that has defined his sound. Leon Bridges comments: “Happiness Anytime was created with spontaneous joy as a guiding principle in the studio, asking listeners to find moments of light in the mundane aspects of daily existence. The Venice Simplon-Orient-Express connects some of Europe’s most storied destinations, including Paris and Venice, with extended routes to Vienna, Prague, and Istanbul. New for 2026, the train has introduced its Villeggiatura by Train series, inspired by the Italian tradition of seasonal summer living, with a brand-new itinerary from Paris to the Amalfi Coast via Pompeii, with a stay at Hotel Caruso, A Belmond Hotel, Amalfi Coast.
Accommodation types onboard include Historic Cabins, Suites, Grand Suites, and L’Observatoire. Each category has been restored or designed to reflect the heritage of the train, with Grand Suites offering additional space, private bathrooms and 24-hour dedicated butler service.
