Novità Communications' Chicago Design Week Guide

From the amazing events and exhibitors at NeoCon to major showroom openings at Fulton Market, Novità Communications will be all around town with its portfolio of clients, in addition to representing the NeoCon show itself. Novità will have team members stationed at that press room throughout the show's duration.

NeoCon | June 7–10, The Mart

NeoCon 2026 returns to The Mart June 8-10, with a new Preview Day on June 7 offering early access to show floors and activations ahead of the official opening. Celebrating its 57th edition under the theme “Where Design Connects,” the show will welcome more than 50,000 design professionals and feature 450+ leading and emerging brands, major showroom debuts and expansions, immersive installations, and robust programming—including keynotes from Jessica O. Matthews, Nick Foster, and David Shing. New for 2026, Illuminate at NeoCon will debut as a dedicated lighting exhibition on the 7th Floor featuring 60+ global brands, interactive vignettes, live podcasts, and experiential installations exploring light as material. Additional highlights include Art on The Mart’s launch of Love Language by HDR, NeoCon Collab: Half Light by Charlie Greene Studio, and Paved States x Haworth DesignLab—a gallery-retail hybrid curated by Chris Force and Patricia Urquiola.

  • Momentum | Suite 3-323
    • Press Preview: Sunday, June 7, 10:30 AM to 12 PM
    • Momentum will debut Michael Ford x Momentum, a bold new collection of textiles and wallcoverings capturing the dynamic movement and cultural essence of hip hop. Ford will be on-site at the press preview, as well as throughout the show for tours and interviews. Momentum will also showcase its new Wellness Suite and launches from partner brands, including Autex Acoustics® and B+N Industries.

  • WVH® | Booth #7-2061
    • Marking its official entry into the commercial design market, WVH® will debut ALMA, a collection of artisan wall panels designed in collaboration with Mexican artist Alfonso Verduzco. ALMA (meaning "soul" in Spanish) offers a dramatic, nature-inspired, textured alternative to traditional wall coverings, featuring heritage-inspired materials—like copper, lava stone, and obsidian. The landmark series will debut alongside the Drew and Jonathan Home™ Collection and previews of upcoming collections from Organoid and Strong by Form.

  • Silen | Suite 10-155
    • Happy Hour: Monday, June 8, 3 PM
    • Silen, the Estonian-based office privacy pod manufacturer, will be debuting its recently released next-generation of work pods, Space Gen 2, engineered to meet the challenges and demands of the evolving workplace. The three advanced models are designed to support different work styles: Space Call, for calls and virtual meetings; Space Work, for long periods of uninterrupted focus; and Space Meet 2, for one-on-one collaboration or small meetings. The refined pod system, rooted in sustainability, is designed to balance the need for acoustic privacy with physical comfort and environmental responsibility.

  • Turf | Suite 1048
    • Press Preview: Sunday, June 7, 10-11:30 AM
    • Chicago-based acoustic solutions manufacturer Turf will debut its newly renovated showroom and unveil the brand's expanded Hues palette, an addition of 10 new colors rooted in neuroaesthetics and sensory design. The new Hues will be on display throughout the showroom alongside new product releases, including Cushion, Point, Plate, and Platter. Throughout the show, Turf will also be hosting Detox and Retox events at their showroom and activating their second annual Freight 22 takeover, with DJ sessions starting at 3 pm.

  • Room & Board | Suite 1112 + Chicago Showroom
    • Room & Board for Business will present the Hensley collection in reclaimed American elm at NeoCon in the Sustainability Lab (Suite 1112) and its Chicago showroom. Part of the company’s Urban Wood Project, the collection transforms salvaged American elm from urban trees removed due to age, safety, or infrastructure into refined, high-volume furniture pieces.
    • Through partnerships with municipalities and regional makers, Room & Board has diverted urban wood from landfills since 2018 while supporting replanting initiatives through the University of Minnesota’s Survivor Elm Project. Hensley highlights how reclaimed wood can move beyond one-of-a-kind or rustic applications into scalable, design-forward production.

    • NeoCon Talks: Monday, June 8 at 2:15 PM
    • Janet Simpson, CEO and President of Atlanta-based architecture, interior design, and planning firm TVS, will be presenting on Teamwork Wins; Culture as Strategy and would welcome the opportunity to connect at the show.     • The HON Company will be opening its new Chicago Flagship, the brand's largest and most elaborate to date, at 320 N Sangamon St. in the Fulton Market District. The fresh, inviting, and immersive hub, organized into four distinct zones, explores different aspects of how people connect, focus, learn, and collaborate in today’s workspace and educational settings. Standout debuts and previews include the new Brim polyshell chair, the modular Mosaic seating system, and the sensory-supportive Scribble chair.

  • Allsteel | 345 North Morgan Street
    • Press Appointments: June 8-9, 9 AM to 5 PM
    • Allsteel, a leading workplace manufacturer, will unveil its redesigned Chicago Experience Center with the theme "Rhythms of Work," showcasing how design facilitates different work styles and flows. The workplace brand will debut its latest release, including the newest launch, Flourish, designed in collaboration with Chris Adamick. The brand will also showcase its recently released glass office-front solution, Dimension, and a special new project with ITO Design.
