Founded in 2014, Richard Beard Architects (RBA) is known for its connection to setting, reverence for materials, and devotion to functional beauty. Richard Beard, FAIA, and partner Brett Moyer, along with Associate Principals Rebecca Lischwe, AIA, and Daniel Widlowski, AIA, offer a distinct point of view and a dedication to site-specific architecture that integrates the built and natural environments, urban or wild, in ways that are both graceful and sustainable.

In addition to several significant historic renovations in San Francisco, RBA has projects ranging from the Northern California countryside to the oceanfront in Southern California, and the mountains in Wyoming and Montana. The firm’s first monograph, Time & Place: The Homes of Richard Beard Architects (Monacelli), will debut on September 30, 2026.
