Tigermilk to Open Largest Restaurant to Date in Spitalfields

After a sold-out London debut, Tigermilk goes bigger with a 280-seat hacienda in Spitalfields.

After a breakout first opening on Tottenham Court Road, where queues formed within days and the concept quickly established itself as one of London’s most talked-about new arrivals, Tigermilk returns this 8th May with its largest restaurant to date, unveiling a 280-seat flagship in Spitalfields and marking its 13th opening since 2019. Founded by Nina and Alexis Melikov, the group has rapidly built a following across Europe, serving more than 4,000 guests daily with its now distinctive take on the Latin American brasserie: bold, high-impact and unapologetically generous, yet priced to be returned to again and again.

The Spitalfields site pushes that formula to its most ambitious scale yet: 230 seats indoors, a 50-cover terrace, and a space conceived not as a single dining room but as a fully realised hacienda unfolding room by room. Guests enter through a courtyard before moving deeper into the house, passing through a sequence of interconnected spaces, from the main dining room to a vast orangery seating over 80 guests, while above it all a six-metre-high bar rises as the centrepiece of the restaurant, overlooking the courtyard below and backed by over 2,000 bottles.

Inspired by the grand estates of Cuernavaca, the design embraces scale, theatricality and excess: layered, dramatic and deliberately over the top.

The food follows the same philosophy: cochinita pibil tacos, vibrant ceviches and large-format dishes built for sharing, alongside indulgent desserts such as maracuyá tiramisu and dulce de leche cheesecake. The bar remains central, with more than 250 tequilas and mezcals and a cocktail list built around fresh, punchy flavours, from classic margaritas to new signature serves designed for long evenings. “We see Tigermilk as the Latin American answer to the European brasserie,” say founders Nina and Alexis Melikov. “With Spitalfields, we wanted to go further, bigger, louder, and more alive, while keeping what matters most: generosity, atmosphere, and a place people come back to without thinking twice.”
