Gap and Awake NY marked the debut of their new collaboration with a celebratory event in New York City. Guests gathered at the Awake NY store on the Lower East Side - a fitting home for a collection that's as much about New York as it is about the people who define it. Guests danced to beats spun by Father Bop and spilled out onto Orchard Street to queue up for made-to-order tacos. 

The evening brought together members from Gap and Awake, alongside press, creatives, and community figures, including Mark Breitbard, Angelo Baque, Zac Posen, Sandy Liang, Alastair McKimm, Fabiola Torres, Calvin Leung, Pierre Serrao, James Harris, Lee Hanson, and more.

The Gap x Awake NY collection is for adults and kids, rooted in '90s streetwear culture and pulled straight from the Gap archives. The Gap × Awake NY collection is a tribute to the energy, ethos, and people of New York - brought to life through Awake NY's signature graphic treatments and statement-making design perspective on nostalgic Gap essentials: logo and heavyweight GapSweats fleece, reimagined denim, and cargo silhouettes.
