Whispering Angel — the world’s leading rosé — officially kicked off the 25th anniversary weekend of the South Beach Wine & Food Festival with an elegant 20th anniversary celebration at the iconic Villa Casuarina at The Versace Mansion in Miami Beach.
Hosted by founder Sacha Lichine, the evening marked two decades since the debut of Whispering Angel in 2006 — the Provençal rosé credited with transforming pink wine from a seasonal indulgence into a global symbol of modern luxury and effortless living.
Notable guests included media, tastemakers, hospitality leaders, and friends of the brand such as Colin Cowie, Lee Schrager, Esther Choi, Guerdy Abraira, Lisa Hochstein, Bryanthediamond, Susan Magrino, Sarah Wetenhall, Lorenzo Borghese, and Marc Murphy, among others.
Guests arrived at the historic Ocean Drive estate and were welcomed into a series of immersive spaces throughout the mansion. Gorgeous display walls showcased Whispering Angel alongside Château d’Esclans estate wines, creating striking backdrops as attendees mingled, photographed, and toasted the milestone vintage.
Throughout the evening, guests sipped the newly released 20th vintage of Whispering Angel before discovering a hidden Rosaluna mezcal speakeasy tucked inside the property, offering an intimate late-night escape within the celebration.
Music filled the courtyard as the party evolved into a lively dance floor, with guests dancing late into the evening under the glow of the mansion’s iconic architecture and candlelit surroundings. The event also unveiled the special 20th anniversary label and commemorative artwork composed of 20 visual stories representing defining moments in the Whispering Angel journey.
Serving as the unofficial kickoff to SOBEWFF weekend, the celebration set the tone for the festival’s milestone year. Long synonymous with the social life of South Florida — from Miami Beach waterfront celebrations to Palm Beach galas — Whispering Angel’s anniversary evening highlighted the city’s role in the brand’s cultural rise and enduring popularity.
The weekend of festivities will continue with curated activations throughout Miami, culminating in a tribute dinner honoring Sacha Lichine.
