As the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic and Paralympic Games, OMEGA is delighted to welcome the Dutch athlete, Jutta Leerdam, to its family of sporting ambassadors for Milano Cortina 2026.
Competing in the sport of speed skating and specializing in long-track sprint events, Jutta began at a young age in the Netherlands, a country where the sport is part of the national culture. After a successful junior career, including multiple World Junior Championship titles, she made a strong transition to the senior level. Known for her power and consistency, Jutta has become one of the leading figures in women’s speed skating sprint events. She has won multiple World Cup titles and World Championships medals in the 500m and 1000m distances. At Beijing 2022, she claimed a silver medal in the Women’s 1000m, further establishing herself as one of the top speed skaters of her generation.
OMEGA first timed the Olympic Winter Games in 1936. This upcoming edition will mark 90 years in the Official Timekeeper role. Once again, the Swiss watchmaker is thrilled to be bringing its experience, expertise, and technology to all of the Olympic and Paralympic events taking place across February and March 2026.
To celebrate her new OMEGA partnership, Jutta has chosen to wear an Aqua Terra 30 mm timepiece in Moonshine™ gold and stainless steel (220.25.30.20.55.001). The watch is notable for its mother-of-pearl dial and diamond-paved bezel.
