UnKommon Events Transforms Little River Studios Into Miami’s New Experiential Entertainment Hub

UnKommon Events is reshaping what experiential hospitality can look like in Miami, blending luxury service with high-production event design to create moments that feel both intimate and transportive. Founded by Seth Kaplan to address, “a void in the market for combining large festival experiences with more high-touch, personalized events,” the company has quickly become known for fusing meticulous hospitality with the energy of global cultural moments.

In the five years since its launch, UnKommon has produced everything from weddings in Puglia with Kygo to chateau events in France and LIV Golf after-parties featuring Fisher and The Chainsmokers. The team also supports cornerstone events throughout the year, including Formula 1 races, the Super Bowl, Art Basel, and the Cannes Film Festival. Kaplan credits the company’s approach to years spent immersed in top hotels, nightlife destinations, festivals, and underground parties worldwide. “Every one of our guests’ needs and expectations—we’ve anticipated it, because we’ve seen it,” he says.

Transforming Little River Studios

This year marks a turning point with the acquisition of Little River Studios, a former film and photo complex now reimagined as a full-time experiential venue. Debuting during Miami Art Week, the site will host a music series with artists including Tiësto, Rampa, Hugel, and Joezi. With a 3,000-person capacity and expansive indoor–outdoor space, the venue brings festival-level production into a more tailored environment.

Art Week programming will include immersive viewing zones, a VIP Barn with complimentary drinks and bites, onstage access, a 40-person crown viewing platform, brand installations from Champion, TikTok, and Reebok, and food offerings from local vendors such as Meat N’ Bone and BurgerFi. Miami artists will showcase work throughout the space, reinforcing UnKommon’s commitment to local collaboration.

Kaplan envisions Little River Studios as a constantly evolving, exploratory environment inspired by his experiences at Glastonbury—complete with secret DJ sets, a hidden speakeasy, a 10-seat sushi bar, and surprise b2b performances. “Rather than just attending a party, this will be a fully interactive guest experience,” he notes.

Expanding the Vision

Looking ahead, UnKommon is exploring additional boutique event spaces globally while broadening its offerings at Little River into culinary, wellness, fashion, and family experiences. The company has also launched a destination celebrations division to meet rising demand for travel-based events that go beyond traditional luxury itineraries.

Kaplan sees Miami as central to this next chapter. “Miami has become the entertainment hub of the world,” he says, outlining a vision to help transform Little River into a premier district for live events, dining, and cultural programming. For UnKommon, the goal is clear: to shape what comes next in global experiential entertainment, starting in Miami.
