Saks Fifth Avenue unveiled its highly anticipated holiday light show and famed holiday windows in a spectacle of light and sound, creating an enchanting experience for all who gathered. The larger-than-life display is tied to this year’s holiday campaign, Holiday Your Way—an ode to the countless ways customers spend the holidays.
“The return of our holiday light show honors Saks Fifth Avenue’s legacy as a destination for extraordinary experiences that inspire connection,” says Kristin Maa, Chief Marketing Officer, Saks Global. “From captivating visual choreography and an uplifting cross-generational soundtrack to new, exquisite embellishments that glisten all season long, we aimed to create wonder and lasting memories for our customers and visitors from around the world. Our team is proud to bring this moment to life through imagination, innovation, and craft—and to continue this cherished tradition that has long blended our unique creative essence with the merriment of the New York City holiday season.”
The reimagined, state-of-the-art light show transforms Fifth Avenue into an illuminated symphony, featuring dozens of gleaming ornaments—some soaring up to two stories tall with eye-catching two-way mirror effects. The prismatic shapes, resembling diamonds and precious gems, dance to a medley of songs including Paul McCartney’s 'Wonderful Christmastime' and Rihanna’s 'Diamonds,' while celestial simulations swirl above, amplifying the radiant spectacle. The show culminated with fireworks as festive music filled the air, inviting visitors to embrace the spirit of the season and get back into the 'New York Groove' by Ace Frehley.
As part of this year’s celebration, Saks Fifth Avenue collaborated with the world-famous Rockettes to bring an unmistakably New York moment to life. Just off the Great Stage at Radio City Music Hall, the Rockettes arrived on Fifth Avenue adorned in their sparkling red 'New York at Christmas' costumes and exclusive “Saks”-bedazzled hairpieces, performing a spirited medley from the Christmas Spectacular Starring the Radio City Rockettes that culminated in their signature kick line. Their dynamic performance set the stage for the grand reveal of Saks Fifth Avenue’s holiday windows, uniting two of the city’s most iconic holiday traditions. In honor of the Rockettes’ 100th anniversary, the luxury retailer’s 49th Street windows also feature a curated display of the troupe’s most memorable costumes and original sketches from the past century, including from legendary designers Vincente Minnelli, Bob Mackie, and from iconic Christmas Spectacular numbers including 'Parade of the Wooden Soldiers', '12 Days of Christmas' and 'Dance of the Frost Fairies'.
The legendary center six windows on Fifth Avenue showcase a whimsical array of holiday scenes within picturesque New York City destinations—including an adorned Enchanted Atrium, larger-than-life artisanal Sweet Treats in a bakery, Traveling Home via an overflowing taxi brimming with the ultimate gifts, a glamorous Big Night at the theater, a snowy Winter’s Dream in Central Park featuring a traditional row boat filled with holiday treasures and a festive Advent Townhouse that brings the seasonal calendar to life through classic New York City architecture.
Passersby can discover even more windows along 49th and 50th streets depicting seasonal vignettes and Saks Fifth Avenue’s coveted assortment, including must-have designs by Tom Ford, Max Mara, Michael Kors, Fendi, Valentino, Aknvas, Prabal Gurung, Brandon Maxwell, Giorgio Armani, Alexander McQuee,n and more. The curated fashion illustrates how customers celebrate and dress for the holidays in countless ways and aims to inspire their own expression of personal style all season long.
For the 16th year, Mastercard is proudly sponsoring the holiday windows and light show in celebration of the season with an exceptional New York experience. Customers will be able to watch the light show in full on Saks Live starting November 25, which is also presented by Mastercard. This mesmerizing light show will continue to light up Fifth Avenue through January 4, 2026.
