Pari Pari, a new handroll bar, will officially open its doors this September in the vibrant heart of Wynwood at 127 NW 27th St. Founded by three lifelong friends from Paris, the concept brings their vision to life: to make handrolls a fresh, everyday ritual.
The 24-seat intimate sushi bar breaks from traditional omakase experiences, offering a casual yet refined atmosphere built around crispy nori, warm rice, and ultra-fresh fish. Pari Pari isn’t your classic omakase – the atmosphere is more relaxed and spontaneous, yet the attention to detail remains obsessive. It’s a place to swing by for a quick, high-quality lunch, or to settle in at the counter for the evening, chat with your neighbor, and let the energy of the room carry you.
The menu is helmed by Chef Yasu Tanaka, the force behind Sushi Yasu Tanaka, whose minimalist yet meticulous style informs every dish. Guests can choose from a curated set menu beginning with sashimi appetizers such as hamachi jalapeño with ponzu and chimichurri, salmon carpaccio with passion fruit, shiso, and crispy onion, and tuna carpaccio with negi garlic oil and kizami wasabi. The experience continues with a wide selection of handrolls, ranging from classics like salmon avocado, akami tuna cucumber, and toro taku, to elevated signatures including A5 wagyu aburi, spicy scallops cucumber, toro caviar, uni toro, and uni wagyu. For those seeking a touch of luxury, any handroll can be paired with a caviar bump.
Adding a sweet touch to the experience is renowned Parisian pastry chef Yann Couvreur, whose exclusive French-Japanese fusion desserts round out the offering playful, precise, and designed to surprise. The dessert menu will feature an exclusive mango, coconut, and passion fruit cake, along with black sesame ice cream topped with matcha, served with Liger’s signature chocolate chip cookie.
Pari Pari’s interiors mirror its culinary identity: elegant, understated, and grounded in craftsmanship. The intimate room features natural textures, warm tones, and a subtle blend of Tokyo minimalism with Parisian ease, creating a 24-seat counter dining experience that feels both personal and transportive.
Pari Pari is open Wednesday to Sunday from 12 PM to 11 PM, offering limited seating at the counter. Reservations are available via Resy and Dorsia, with walk-ins welcome based on availability. Expanded hours will be announced soon.
