The Brandman Agency is pleased to welcome Consorzio Costa Smeralda as the latest addition to its portfolio of luxury hospitality travel clients, as the agency has now been appointed the US market.
Located in northeastern Sardinia, Italy, Costa Smeralda comprises the Marina of Porto Cervo, the Yacht Club, the famous Promenade, and Pevero Golf Club. The private destination is cared for by the Costa Smeralda Consortium. Founded in March 1962, at the behest of Prince Karim Aga Khan, the Consortium ('Consorzio' in Italian) was created to support planning and balancing urban and residential development within the territory. For over 60 years, the Consortium has enhanced the tourist destination by protecting the area's natural beauty.
The brand ‘Costa Smeralda’ refers exclusively to the territories associated with the Consortium, which extend across 34 miles of coastline in the region called Gallura, on the north-east coast of the island. 22 immaculate and powder-soft, white sand beaches draw visitors to Costa Smeralda and continue to be preserved by the Consortium, to ensure that they are some of the cleanest in the Mediterranean.
Porto Cervo is the heart of the luxury resort that plays host to some of the richest, most famous, and powerful people in the world. Arriving by private jet and mega-yachts, the world’s most sophisticated clientele descend on Costa Smeralda for its glamour, luxury, and nightlife. The cluster of boutiques around the Piazzetta, or town square, includes small independent shops scattered amongst some of the most famous names in Italian design. Meanwhile, every summer, the heart of Costa Smeralda, Porto Cervo, hosts ‘Waterfront’, a pop-up village that animates long summer evenings with a curated program of international entertainment. The variety of delectable cuisine completes the offering in the heart of the Costa Smeralda and supports its vocation as a luxury destination.
