Art of the Italian Two Wheel features evocative 1960s 1970s Italian Motorcycles from the Stuart Parr Collection on exhibit in the retail space at RFR’s, prestigious newly renovated NYC office building 285 Madison. The show will run from March to the end of April 2015.
The show displays rare motorcycles and street bikes from the Stuart Parr Collection that were designed by engineering powerhouses Ducati, MV Agusta, Laverda and Magni. The twenty-six motorcycles in the exhibit are presented to the public for the first time, and “represent an era when the greatest design and engineering talent took Italian motorcycles from the race track to the road” according to Stuart Parr.
The exhibition catalog is designed by award-winning book designer John Cheim (Cheim and Read Gallery) and written by Ian Falloon, the famed Italian motorcycle historian.
The show will be available for private and public viewings and can be glimpsed throughout the night through tall ground floor windows, beautifully lit and blending into the urban cityscape.
BRAND PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITY: We are interested to partner with brands with similar alignment in design, high end craftsmanship and preferably with Italian heritage. We are planning a strong social and online strategy and anticipate a large public interest from contemporary art buffs, design and architecture aficionados, as well as car and motorcycle collectors. Sponsors could host private events in the exhibition space and get credit in select exhibition materials and media. Some images of the installation can be viewed on www.stuartparrcollection.com
