Global lifestyle accommodation brand, Generator, has joined forces with Thailand’s leading music and culture event, Wonderfruit, to take over its Boutique Camping Village for its 2024 festival. Returning the weekend of December 14 - 16, the partnership will bring Generator’s socially-powered hospitality experience to Asia for the first time. Generator has previously announced Asia as a prospective market for expansion, noting it to be a magnet for budget travelers and hostel-like accommodations, and this collaboration marks its first foray engaging with like minded consumers in Thailand.
The award-winning global hospitality brand will provide guests with a more affordable way to enjoy Wonderfruit’s luxury onsite accommodations as well as a chance to create new connections. Generator will outfit the onsite coconut grove, which is the camping area only a short walk from the main festival space, with unique accommodations in a variety of formats, from private air-conditioned Bell Tents and luxury RVs made for small groups, to the Shared Tent by Generator, a brand new stay option for solo travelers attending the festival. Debuting as the industry’s first dorm-style booking choice, Wonderers, the festival’s token name for attendees, who book the Shared Tent by Generator will reserve one bed in tents of three, with co-ed and female-only tent options. Shared Tents will be equipped with amenities including AC, power ports, custom-built hygiene facilities, luxury LOTUS mattresses, and secure storage. In addition to lodging, the first of its kind stay experience will also bring Generator’s bespoke gamification and unique programming to the Boutique Camping Village, curated to encourage social interactions and create memorable experiences. Boutique Campers will be invited to take part in community curated art installations, drop into music sessions, or play one of the many social games brought in from all corners of the globe such as beer pong, giant Jenga, and Mölkky, a Finnish throwing game similar to bowling. Community experiences and activities are designed to foster connections and encourage conversations among guests, playing into Generator’s beloved brand ethos for social experiences.
The heart of the Boutique Camping Village is the dedicated restaurant and bar, which will also be helmed by Generator for 2024 festival dates. The culinary and social hub will feature gourmet bites and drinks inspired by the brand’s global footprint, with members of the Generator team flying in from around the world to bring these offerings to Wonderers.
