Artistic Ideas Competition for New National Museum of the Navy in collaboration with MGAC

Relevance International has begun collaboration with global project management firm MGAC on the Naval History and Heritage Command’s artistic ideas competition for the new National Museum of the Navy. The Naval History and Heritage Command selected MGAC, with Relevance International subcontracted for PR and digital services, to build excitement and awareness of the new museum project through the exploration of possible artistic concepts for the space.

The competition selected five finalist architecture firms, following an open request for qualifications across the country, to develop artistic ideas that will provide concepts for the Navy’s new museum campus. Bjarke Ingles Group, DLR Group, Frank Gehry Partners, Perkins&Will and Quinn Evans were among the five chosen to develop submissions that will be evaluated by a panel representing NHHC and Navy leadership. The firms’ concepts will be unveiled at a public artistic showcase exhibit planned for the spring.
