Now open: ModernHaus SoHo

Occupying the former James Hotel property, ModernHaus SoHo is an artfully-designed space featuring works from influential figures including George Condo, Jean Dubuffet and KAWS. It boasts a massive 11,000-square-feet of outdoor space, and is home to rooftop staple Jimmy. It’s also the locale of one of the summer’s top restaurant openings, Veranda, helmed by Michelin-starred chef George Mendes.

Now open: Fasano Fifth Avenue

Brazil’s Fasano makes its North American debut with a luxe property on NYC’s Fifth Avenue (between 62nd and 63rd streets). The space is as exquisitely designed as it is exclusive: Fasano Fifth Avenue features just seven clubhouse suites and four duplexes, and are reserved for Fasano club members only (though members can also invite guests).

Coming soon: The Ritz-Carlton New York, NoMad

The Ritz-Carlton is set to open in New York's NoMad late this year on Broadway and West 28th Street. Spanning 150,000-square-feet (with 38 floors), expect the storied brand's signature level of luxury with a nod to the buzzing neighborhood's energy and understated elegance. 

Coming soon: Proper DTLA

Design darling Proper opens is set to open a highly-anticipated hotel in Downtown Los Angeles later this summer. Kelly Wearstler’s design reflects the neighborhood’s energy, featuring local art and a vintage influence. In addition to two restaurants by James Beard Award-winning chefs, the Proper will also house a library lounge and rooftop pool.

Coming soon: Grand Adirondack Hotel

If your fall plans involve a visit to enjoy the crisp Upstate NY air, keep the Grand Adirondack Hotel, Lake Placid on your radar. The historic property originally opened in 1927 as Hotel Marcy, and is currently undergoing a massive renovation from the 92 bedrooms to the restaurant and rooftop venue.
