JUNIOR PUBLICIST

We’re adding a Junior Publicist to our team! This is a full time, work-from-home position. The Junior Publicist will report to the Founder and will be responsible for media relations, client relations, and administration. This is not an entry level position and does not include the management of any team members. While we are a work-from-home company, we are specifically seeking candidates located in Atlanta, Georgia.

WHAT WE DO
We help interior designers and design-build firms grow through earned media placements and other visibility opportunities. You've seen or heard our clients in Homeworthy, Luxe Interiors + Design, The Interior Collective Podcast, RUE Magazine, Southern Living, House Beautiful, @chairish, and more.

WHO YOU ARE
You’re an emerging media relations professional with a minimum of four years of post-graduate interior design PR experience, preferably at a boutique agency, under your belt. You are an excellent communicator, steadfast in the pursuit of hitting your goals, consider creativity and strategy two of your strong suits, and have a deep appreciation for the role PR plays in small business. You’re seeking an opportunity where you can put your ambition to work, be challenged to grow, work alongside a small team who champions you, and represent a portfolio of clients who inspire you.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
While no two days are the same and media relations will be your primary responsibility, you can expect:

  • Pitching to a variety of media outlets: print, digital, broadcast, podcast, and social media
  • Planning and executing additional tactics to generate coverage, including events, press trips, and desksides
  • Submitting to awards
  • Pitching speaking opportunities and other client visibility opportunities
  • Supporting the development of client strategy
  • Developing press materials
  • Editing client interviews and insights for use in stories
  • Acting as a point of contact for clients, facilitating opportunities and providing updates in real time
  • Creating monthly reporting documents
  • Participating in client planning meetings
  • Attending industry events when appropriate
  • Keeping all internal documents and systems organized and up to date
  • Staying up to date on trends, industry news, and updates

  • Hitting your monthly KPIs, which you’ll self-track on a weekly basis
  • Achieving your monthly press placement goals
  • Adhering to our processes, systems, and deadlines

WHAT WE OFFER
The Junior Publicist role is a full time, work-from-home position that offers an annual salary of $50,000-$70,000 (DOE). Benefits include paid time off, paid company holidays including our annual Holiday Break, mobile phone and internet stipend, company retreats, and year-round Summer Fridays.
