Job Description:
Account Managers are responsible for supporting the senior leadership team at The Point PR and successfully being an integral team member on eight to nine accounts. They will serve as the lead on some accounts and supervise Senior Account Executives, Account Executives, and Account Coordinators on administrative projects and serving as a point of contact for clients.
Major responsibilities include pitching and securing media coverage for all clients, helping to coordinate the team’s overall outreach efforts, developing creative ideas and partnerships for clients, drafting media materials, merchandising results, managing Senior Account Executives, Account Executives and Account Coordinators on administrative projects and serving as a point of contact for clients.

Agency Responsibilities and Account Management
- Assist leadership team with training and development of junior team members.
- Serve as an industry expert by staying on top of industry news and trends.
- Recommend new best practices and identify opportunities for increased efficiencies across the agency.
- Create PR materials including press releases, pitches, interview briefs, Q&As, and other assets for clients.
- Support senior leadership team by helping to manage and execute client and team deliverables to ensure KPIs are on track and achieved.
- Communicate with clients to coordinate media opportunities, media visits, and meetings.
- Attend client meetings.
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and share ideas internally.
- Ideate and manage agency cross pitches for holidays and seasonal updates.
- Manage real-time merchandising of coverage and monthly reporting.
Media and Influencer Relations
- Secure high-impact media and influencer results through targeted pitching.
- Maintain strong relationships with top-tier media and freelancers and identify and develop new ones.
- Entertain media in the local market regularly.
- Establish and grow relationships with media and influencers by securing in-person meetings.
- Read/watch media outlets daily for relevant industry news and trends, creative ideas, partnerships, and new media contacts and columns, share findings with agency.
- Share quality media leads with the agency and be able to effectively cross-pitch multiple clients.
- Have a strong understanding of influencers/tastemakers and how they can be utilized to benefit clients.
- Have an understanding of AI and skills to actively use it in day-to-day client work, research, pitching, creative brainstorming, etc.
- Book client media tours, events, and press trips, and staff where appropriate.
- Manage and book media and influencer stays.
- Support overseeing the agency’s master media list and ensure it is current.
- Demonstrate strong writing skills and draft client media pitches.
- Reach out and submit clients for relevant industry awards.
Account Managers are expected to maintain close relationships with key media, have strong writing, communication, and presentation skills, and be able to learn and train others on new platforms, procedures, and templates. Account Managers will also act as positive ambassadors for the agency in the industries we serve and the local community.
