The position of Account Coordinator reports to an Account Executive or higher-level employee. The primary responsibilities are to, in some cases, be a daily liaison between Magrino and the client, to implement PR programs and tactics, be a media contact, and handle many of the writing tasks for the account. After 6 months, there will be a performance review with the potential for a raise.
Responsibilities
- Update critical media lists.
- Familiarity with key print, online, and broadcast media contacts spanning various categories including but not limited to: travel, food, events, and consumer businesses.
- Provide public relations support for account services teams, including assisting with mailings, creating clip books, media monitoring, maintaining media lists, developing and tracking the editorial calendar, monitoring press coverage, writing press releases, conducting research, and assisting with media outreach.
- Understanding and familiarization with all steps and levels of event and press trip planning, including concept development, itinerary development, invitation creation, list management, and RSVP management.
- Involvement with PR outreach, contact with the media, tracking clips, and overall brainstorming ideas to create excitement.
- Knowledge of key sourcing and vendor contacts within the Public Relations and Media industry.
- Understanding and development of strategic planning as well as time and account management skills.
- Follow others’ directions to gather and disseminate information to teams internally as well as clients externally.
- Working knowledge of social networks and ability to assist clients with developing strategies for them.

Education and Experience Required:
- BA/BS in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, or related.
- Relevant internship in communication or related field.

- Ability to follow directions well by practicing active listening and asking thoughtful questions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented and results-driven.
- Strong Writing Skills.
