About the Role
MVPR is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Account Manager to join our New York Editorial Public Relations team.
This position focuses on leading editorial communications programs across fashion, accessories, beauty, and lifestyle accounts—developing strategic media campaigns, securing top-tier press coverage, developing and executing brand activations, managing client relationships, and overseeing day-to-day account execution.
The Account Manager will work closely with senior leadership to develop integrated communications strategies, execute proactive press outreach, mentor junior team members, and deliver exceptional results across multiple client accounts.
Responsibilities
- Lead day-to-day client communications across multiple fashion, accessories, beauty, and lifestyle accounts.
- Develop and execute integrated editorial PR strategies that align with client objectives, key brand moments, and cultural conversations, driving visibility and maximizing earned media impact across launches and ongoing initiatives.
- Plan and execute brand events from concept through completion, overseeing logistics, guest lists, invitations, on-site execution, and post-event amplification.
- Pitch and secure strategic editorial coverage including brand features, business stories, designer profiles, product placement, trend stories, and market coverage.
- Build and maintain relationships with fashion, beauty, accessories, and lifestyle editors, writers, and stylists.
- Draft and distribute press materials including market pitches, media alerts, press releases, and media invitations.
- Monitor editorial calendars, industry trends, and cultural moments to proactively identify timely opportunities for each client.
- Oversee client reporting, campaign recaps, meeting agendas, and strategic presentations.
- Manage sample trafficking through Launchmetrics, including editorial loans, stylist pulls, check-ins, and returns.
- Coordinate desksides, market appointments, preview appointments, product launches, and press events.
- Collaborate with the Talent & Influencer Relations team to execute integrated communications campaigns.
- Mentor and support junior team members and interns.
- 6+ years of public relations experience within fashion, beauty, accessories, or lifestyle (agency experience preferred).
- Proven success securing top-tier editorial coverage across print, digital, and broadcast media.
- Existing relationships with fashion, beauty, accessories, and lifestyle editors and journalists.
- Strong understanding of editorial calendars, seasonal fashion cycles, and media landscapes.
- Experience managing sample trafficking and showroom operations (Launchmetrics preferred).
- Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly detail-oriented, proactive, and solutions-driven.
- Passion for fashion, media, and cultural storytelling.
- Team-oriented with strong accountability.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace.
- Experience with Launchmetrics and Muck Rack preferred.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $70,000 – $90,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
