Job Description

ZOÏ Agency, a boutique Public Relations agency, is seeking a Communications Coordinator in their Toronto office. Our ideal candidate is someone with 1-2 years’ experience and who is passionate about pursuing a career in the fashion, design, hospitality, and beauty PR industry. This is a full-time role located at our downtown Toronto office (hybrid work from home available).

As a Coordinator in our Toronto office, you will have the benefit of working alongside a small team of communications professionals and will gain experience in contributing to larger projects along with standard administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate should be passionate about the fashion/lifestyle industry, hardworking, detail-oriented, and willing to challenge themselves by taking on new tasks which will reward them with a broader knowledge of media relations within the fashion and lifestyle industries. A motivated work ethic, initiative, along with a drive to excel, will be highly regarded.

Coordinator responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Interacting with ZOÏ Agency’s inspiring fashion, beauty, design, and hospitality brands.
  • Participating in agency/client brainstorm sessions.
  • Coordinating sample requests.
  • Researching special projects.
  • Managing media lists and updating them regularly.
  • Tracking media coverage for clients and reporting on results.
  • Preparing and trafficking sample requests.
  • Supporting media requests.
  • Influencer partnership support.
  • Writing press materials.
  • Assisting with the preparation and planning of special events.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 1-2 years’ relevant PR experience (agency experience preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism or marketing preferred.
  • Knowledge of key online and print Canadian publications.
  • Proficient in Mac operating system and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent time management skills, including the ability to prioritize, manage and meet multiple deadlines.
  • Highly developed sense of organization, with great attention to detail.
