DESCRIPTION:

The Director of Integrated PR – Health + Innovation serves as a senior strategic leader responsible for overseeing client success, vertical growth, team leadership and integrated communications strategy across Crowe PR’s Health + Innovation portfolio.  This role leads high-value client relationships while guiding integrated programs that connect earned media, thought leadership, social media, influencer strategy and modern discovery channels to drive measurable business outcomes.  

As a trusted strategic partner, the Director ensures clients receive exceptional service, proactive counsel and forward-looking communications strategies rooted in credibility, trust and business impact. This individual also plays a critical leadership role in shaping department operations, mentoring talent and advancing Crowe PR’s leadership within the evolving communications landscape. 

Core Responsibilities  

Client Leadership & Strategic Counsel

  • Develop a deep understanding of every client within the Health + Innovation vertical, including business goals, market dynamics and account team responsibilities.  
  • Lead 4–5 key accounts while providing strategic oversight and guidance across the broader vertical portfolio.  
  • Serve as a senior communications strategist and trusted advisor to clients, offering informed recommendations that support business growth and brand leadership.  
  • Anticipate client needs, identify opportunities and proactively solve challenges before they arise.  
  • Build and maintain strong executive-level client relationships grounded in trust, responsiveness and strategic value.  
  • Lead regular strategic check-ins and ensure client feedback is addressed swiftly and thoughtfully.  
  • Manage multiple client priorities, deliverables and deadlines with excellence and efficiency.  
  • Ensure account teams consistently deliver exceptional client service and embody Crowe PR standards.  
  • Appropriately delegate and guide account responsibilities to maximize team performance and client success.  

Integrated PR Strategy & Execution

  • Lead integrated communications strategy across earned media, thought leadership, influencer and social initiatives.  
  • Ensure communications programs are aligned, cohesive and strategically connected to client business objectives.  
  • Review and elevate all client-facing materials including:  
  • Press releases  
    • Media advisories  
    • Briefing books  
    • Thought leadership content  
    • Contributed articles  
    • Blogs  
    • Executive commentary and messaging  
  • Build and maintain relationships with top-tier, trade and priority media across Health + Innovation sectors.  
  • Secure high-impact earned coverage and consistently achieve at least 85% of individual placement and KPI goals.  
  • Monitor emerging industry, media and healthcare trends to identify proactive storytelling opportunities.  
  • Lead thought leadership strategy development and execution, including commentary, speaking platforms and contributed content.  
  • Ensure clients are strategically positioned for:  
    • Awards  
    • Speaking opportunities  
    • Industry recognition  
    • Visibility moments that build trust and authority  
  • Partner with account teams to ensure KPI delivery and measurable outcomes. 
  • Advise on social and influencer integration where appropriate, ensuring communications programs operate as one connected ecosystem.

  • Serve as final strategic review for quarterly, biannual and annual client plans.  
  • Provide final review and approval of client reporting, ensuring:  
    • Accuracy

  • Monitor and evaluate:

Vertical & Agency Leadership

  • Partner with agency leadership to evolve systems, workflows and best practices that support vertical and agency-wide success.  
  • Help shape Crowe PR’s leadership within the evolving PR, media and AI-driven communications landscape.  
  • Monitor staffing and resource allocation to ensure client teams are positioned for success.  
  • Evaluate budget utilization, coverage performance and hours efficiency to maximize effectiveness and profitability.  
  • Lead vertical meetings, brainstorms and strategic planning sessions that encourage collaboration and innovation.  
  • Serve as a connector across departments and teams to ensure integrated execution and seamless communication.  
  • Recommend strategic innovations and opportunities that strengthen Crowe PR’s capabilities and competitive advantage.  
  • Support onboarding and development of new team members.  
  • Oversee internal dashboards, trackers and operational systems to maintain visibility and accountability.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • 8+ Years of PR and/or integrated marketing agency experience with at least 4 years of experience in a management role.
