Position Overview
Emily Blair Media is seeking an experienced and proactive Account Executive to support and lead publicity efforts across a dynamic roster of talent and brand clients. This role is ideal for someone with strong media relationships, excellent communication skills, and a passion for entertainment, lifestyle, and pop culture PR. The Account Executive will oversee campaign strategy and execution, manage client communications, mentor junior team members, and drive impactful media results across print, digital, broadcast, and podcast platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Campaign Strategy & Execution:
- Collaborate with brands/talent to understand their objectives and craft tailored publicity strategies aligned with their unique goals.
- Design and execute innovative PR campaigns that reflect each client’s vision and market positioning.
- Delegate tasks to team members as the Account Lead for each division.
- Build detailed strategy decks for brand/talent campaigns, including ideations, execution, and overarching goals.
Media Relations:
- Build and maintain relationships with influential media figures, journalists, and industry insiders to secure impactful coverage.
- Achieve prominent placements for brands/talent across various media platforms, including print, digital, and broadcast outlets.
Pitch Ideation:
- Develop compelling narratives, press materials, and written content that effectively communicate each client’s unique story and value proposition.
- Lead pitch ideation, delegating assignments to the team, and executing daily outreach to media outlets.
Oversee Coordinators + Junior Account Executives:
- Ensure the seamless execution of Coordinators and Junior Account Executive roles and the completion of all tasks.
- Mentor and provide feedback to Coordinators and Junior AEs, reviewing deliverables and maintaining quality standards across accounts.
- Delegate tasks effectively across the team, ensuring workloads are balanced and all account responsibilities are met on time.
Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for brands/talent, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism and dedication.
- Regularly update and provide detailed reports to brands/talent, demonstrating the impact and value of our PR efforts on their market presence.
- Lead all client calls, relay updates, reports, and progress from week to week.
- Oversee 10- 12 talent accounts and stay informed on all projects + launches.
- Some evening and weekend hours will be required. Travel for client events may be required
