PR Manager, MATINÉE STUDIO

(Montreal : hybrid | Toronto : remote)

MATINÉE STUDIO is looking for a PR Manager to join its team.

This is a key role for someone who can both think and do : strategic, hands-on, and deeply connected to culture.

THE ROLE

As PR Manager, you will lead and execute multiple accounts end-to-end, owning both the strategy and the day-to-day.You will play a central role in managing and nurturing client relationships, driving results and elevating the overall quality of work across the agency.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and execute PR mandates across multiple accounts
• Own client relationships and provide strategic counsel
• Define and drive media strategy + actively pitch to secure top-tier coverage
• Oversee and contribute to pitching (media + creators)
• Stay hands-on in key moments, launches, and deliverablesLead launches, activations, and campaign moments
• Manage timelines, priorities, and team workflow
• Ensure excellence across all outputs (press tools, recaps, reporting)
• Mentor and elevate junior team members
• Track performance and translate results into actionable insight
• Contribute to organic growth and new business opportunities

PROFILE

• 4–6+ years in PR, with strong agency experience (required)
• Proven ability to both lead and execute
• Strong media relationships in Canada
• Excellent communicator, confident in client leadership
• Strategic thinker with strong executional discipline
• Natural leadership and team management experience
• Strong understanding of influencer and integrated PR
• Organized, proactive, and solutions-drivenStrong cultural awareness and aesthetic sensibility
• Excellent writing skills (English required, French a strong asset)
• Comfortable with key tools (Meltwater, CreatorIQ, Asana, Google Suite etc.)
