Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Publicist to RHC to support the needs of our business, including: administrative duties, account support, building and managing media lists, and creative brainstorming to keep ahead of current trends and what’s happening in our clients’ worlds.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and collect press coverage for clients; create weekly reports for clients.
  • Build, qualify, and manage a database of media, bloggers, and influencers.
  • Prepare agendas and materials for all internal meetings (client and team). Take client-facing meeting notes to provide recaps and action items to follow up on all meetings.
  • Draft press releases, Q&A documents, biographies, and other press materials, including editorial pieces and content.
  • Conduct proactive and reactive media pitching; seek out creative ideas and opportunities; identify and cultivate story ideas for media pitching.
  • Manage editorial calendars and find ways to get clients involved • Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions.
  • Follow industry and client category trends; share insights and key findings as they relate to competitors.
  • Compile news of the day that relates to current clients in major publications.
  • Manage expenses for the team.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Internship experience in communications or marketing.
  • Strong Interest in public relations.
  • Strong writing skills and an ability to think creatively.
