KLG Public Relations - is hiring an Assistant Account Executive to work across hospitality, culinary, and lifestyle brands.

KLG PR is looking for an ambitious self-starter with a minimum of 1 year of public relations agency experience in hospitality and strong general skills to represent various high-profile clients. The ideal candidate is a multitasker who is outgoing, organized, positive in nature, a fast learner, and has the drive to succeed.

The Assistant Account Executive will handle account support such as building and managing lists of media, PowerPoint presentations, clipping, media monitoring, as well as proactive and reactive media relations; client service, creative writing (press releases, media alerts), and creative brainstorming.

This is not an entry-level position and requires previous agency experience in addition to internships.

Responsibilities

  • Proactive and reactive media pitching to consumer and trade press.
  • Successfully pitch stories to deliver high-quality results.
  • Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions and brand strategy.
  • Seek out creative ideas and opportunities to identify and cultivate story ideas for media pitching.
  • Follow industry and client category trends and regularly share insights, thoughts, and key findings, particularly as they relate to competitors.
  • Create key assets for accounts, including press releases, fact sheets, biographies, messaging, media alerts, agendas, and recaps.

  • Media monitoring and reporting
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong communication skills, including writing, editing, and media strategy.
  • Experience or knowledge in public relations.
  • Ability to conduct research, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in media monitoring and understanding of media relations.
  • Keen attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Previous experience in lifestyle, wine & spirits, or hospitality PR is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.
