Mekky Media Relations is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Assistant Account Executive to support agency initiatives and a select roster of client accounts. This role is ideal for an emerging PR professional looking to gain hands-on agency experience while contributing meaningfully to day-to-day client work.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft talking points, outreach emails, pitch drafts, and communications collateral with guidance
• Assist in preparing briefing documents for media appearances and interviews
• Conduct ongoing media and trend monitoring relevant to client industries
• Track and compile media coverage across client accounts
• Support preparation of monthly client reports and performance metrics
• Maintain organized account documentation and internal systems
• Prepare meeting agendas, recaps, and follow-ups on action items
• Utilize PR platforms including Meltwater, MuckRack, Canva, and related tools

Work Structure

• Part-time, hourly position averaging 10–12 hours per week based on client activity
• Remote work environment with flexibility
• Chicago-based candidates required
• Availability during standard business hours required; after-hours work may be needed
