The Last Agency (TLA) is looking for an enthusiastic, high-performing Public Relations Account Manager to join and contribute to our growing organization. We’re looking for a collaborative, media-savvy professional who has a love for storytelling, cultural insight, and strategic thinking - someone eager to grow with a dynamic, boutique agency.
Based in New York with a global footprint, TLA is a communications agency working across the luxury design, art, hospitality, and lifestyle sectors. The Account Manager will play a key role in shaping and executing media and brand strategies for our diverse roster of clients.
In this position, you’ll not only help drive impactful campaigns but also support the growth of junior team members and contribute to the evolution of the agency’s profile and reputation.
The ideal candidate will likely have 4-6 years of PR agency experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage overall public relations, media, and brand strategy efforts across a range of client accounts.
- Bring a positive attitude to a high-energy team that consistently shows up and delivers.
- Ask questions, contribute new ideas, engage with colleagues, clients, and partners, and make your voice heard.
- Manage and mentor junior team members, offering guidance and supporting their professional growth.
- Demonstrate the ability to rally the team for both internal and client-focused initiatives.
- Maintain strong client communication, keeping them informed on your work and external developments that may impact their business.
- Serve as team lead and primary point of contact for select client accounts.
- Liaise with clients by leading meetings and calls, and assisting with agendas as needed.
- Develop and present narrative frameworks, strategy documents, proposals, and new business materials.
- Pitch and secure media coverage across print, digital, podcast, and broadcast platforms.
- Contribute creative ideas and execute them across media, brand-building, content, social, and other relevant channels.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, media, key partners, and industry professionals.
- Write and develop press releases, briefing materials, pitches, external communications, and brand partnership opportunities.
- Proactively identify ways to grow client accounts, whether by realigning strategy to evolving business goals or introducing new opportunities.
- Manage and support the creation of monthly, project-based, and annual reporting.
- In collaboration with junior team members, manage media databases (e.g., Muck Rack, Launchmetrics), daily media coverage grids, and maintain accurate, up-to-date media and contact lists.
- Develop event strategies and oversee the coordination of guest lists, logistics, and execution of client events throughout the year.
- Assist with internal agency initiatives, including organizational support and efforts to build brand awareness.
