Responsibilities
- Support the management of a robust roster of accounts; serving as the day-to-day lead on client accounts as assigned.
- Work with varied account teams, supporting ideation and execution of campaigns, strategic events, and partnerships.
- Draft, organize, and finalize call agendas, notes, and account reports.
- Proactive pitching to media for client placements to meet the outlined SOW and goals.
- Closely monitor the news for client press and ensure press tracking tools are up-to-date, and thoughtfully share results with clients.
- Media industry immersion and monitoring of key media outlets; reading and researching local media, relevant lifestyle + food magazines, online outlets, and influencers; ensuring media lists are current and effective.
- Research, write, edit, and distribute press materials and ensure the press kit is kept up-to-date.
- Brainstorm collaboratively with the team and clients to identify and pursue relevant and timely storytelling angles.
- Develop and maintain strong and positive relationships with local and national media, influencers, tastemakers, and key industry members.
- Establish trusted partnerships with peers, clients, and media; create channels of communication to keep them informed and support the success of accounts and campaigns.
- Manage lists, invitations, logistics, and run-of-shows for events.
- PR experience: 2-4 years of PR experience, directly related to the hospitality field, is a must.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience with relevant industry software: Google Suite (Drive, Sheets, Docs, Slides), MuckRack, Asana, CoverageBook, etc.
- Effective pitching skills and results garnered from proactive pitching efforts.
- Social media literacy (past social experience is a plus).
- Passion for hospitality and travel.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Displays a sense of urgency, ownership, and drive to get things done.
- Ability to thrive in an environment with multiple pressing obligations and urgent deadlines, deftly navigating shifting priorities.
- Ability to communicate ideas effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Strong time management skills.
- Energetic, self-directed, and self-motivated.
*Note: Candidates must be based in Austin, TX. You will work a hybrid schedule and will be required to have on-site presence at frequent client meetings, media appointments, and events.
