DESCRIPTION:

Negri Firman PR & Communications for its NewYork office, is looking for a Communications Assistant who will cooperate with the VP of Communications and the Communications Manager, and will manage the press and PR-related activities for a group of clients represented by Negri Firman.

Responsibilities include but limited to: 

  • Media and social media monitoring for press coverage.
  • Utilizing Launchmetric to manage sample trafficking, coordinating sample loans and send outs.
  • Supporting PR Managers and VP of Communications with daily tasks.
  • Media research, updating contact lists and media database.
  • Maintain the showroom organization and appearance.
  • Develop and update target contacts list in the fashion, lifestyle, art, design, and travel sectors.
  • Draft or edit press releases, pitches, and other written communication.
  • Execute and organize monthly reports for each client represented by the agency.
  • Work at various press events including New York Fashion Week, press days, and private client events.
  • Assemble press kit mailings.
  • Working on various research projects.Participate to strategy meetings and support when necessary.

REQUIREMENTS:

Skills & Qualifications:

  • This is an entry-level position requiring a minimum of 1 year of professional experience in similar role, either in PR and Communications agencies or in-house in the fashion, design, and lifestyle industry.
  • Educated to degree-level. A BA in communications and PR is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, able to collaborate with others to achieve common goals.
  • Proactive, organised and a team-player.
  • You will be a dedicated, multi-tasked, and proactive candidate who is enthusiastic, works well within a small team and has an interest in fashion PR. 
  • Proficient in PR reporting, analysing, and presenting data on PR activities, including media mentions and audience reach, conducting sentiment analysis and assess campaign effectiveness.
  • Expert in communications, time-management, and organizational skills with the ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
