Job Description

The Digital Account Director at Magrino Public Relations will lead social strategy and executive visibility for luxury, client-first programs, acting as a strategic advisor and trusted partner. This role drives high-impact social initiatives with precision, delivering proactive, on-demand client support. Ideal candidates bring experience in corporate reputation management, thought leadership, and engaging ultra-high-net-worth audiences across industries, including luxury lifestyle, entertainment, sports, art, philanthropy, and financial services. Key platforms include LinkedIn, Instagram, and Facebook, with opportunities for onsite amplification at major cultural moments such as the South Beach Wine & Food Festival and Art Basel.

The Digital Account Director will report to VP/SVP leadership and help guide the division by overseeing digital strategy execution, managing high-profile client relationships, and developing junior team members. This role will also collaborate across the broader agency, expanding to other verticals such as Consumer and Food & Beverage accounts, while being an integral part of the new business function.

Responsibilites

  • Provide senior strategic counsel to clients and account teams.
  • Manage the execution of client social media programs for brands and executives, as well as assume direct responsibility for the quality of work and measurement of results.
  • Function as a main contact for client accounts, including high-visibility executives, and/or communicate with clients at the senior level to build and maintain relationships.
  • Lead the full social media content lifecycle from ideation and strategy to execution and performance analysis for clients ranging from global financial institutions to lifestyle brands.
  • Drive Thought Leadership on LinkedIn for client executives/clients by crafting strategic content plans, guiding executive voice development and coaching, and leveraging platform insights to amplify brand authority and engagement.
    • Work directly with the Copywriter to create on-brand content for executives, with a focus on LinkedIn (short-form and long-form).
  • Liaise with Creative leads and agency partners to ensure developed content is strategically aligned with photo/video assets.
  • Lead process for creating social-first assets on-the-ground, working with the team from strategy to filming to editing the final deliverables.
  • Develop key relationships with stakeholders, internally and externally.
  • Analyze data, distilling metrics into actionable insights to evolve client programs.
  • Provide regular updates and liaise with the executive team.
  • Create short- and long-term client strategies to achieve business objectives for brands and executives, within budget.
  • Create event social media content strategy and staff client events.
  • Plan and run strategic client meetings.
  • Retain and develop current accounts to increase revenue.
  • Motivate, mentor, and guide professional development of staff in their daily activities, and provide structure and instruction for balancing workloads.
  • Assume fiscal responsibility for the division, accounts, and team.
  • Actively participate and guide the operations and future course of the division and agency.
  • Support agency leadership team in agency corporate communications designed to drive visibility, such as company events and agency marketing materials.
  • Play a key role in the new business development process from initial discovery call through proposal creation and pitch activities.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • BA/BS Degree
  • 8-10 years minimum experience in a digital communications role, including social media platform management (organic/paid), creative direction, and/or content production.
  • Prior agency experience is required.
  • Experience with corporate or financial institutions a plus.

Knowledge and Skills Required

  • Strong communication and executive presence.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage fast-paced workflows.
  • Must demonstrate professionalism and discretion in leading communication with high-profile clients.
  • Expertise across major social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest, YouTube) and analytics tools such as Canva, Brandwatch, CreatorIQ, and Meta Business Suite. 
  • Ability to provide creative direction and identify trends to evolve strategy.
  • Strong collaboration and cross-team communication.
  • Must be comfortable leading client and new business meetings.
  • Understanding of general marketing concepts, including branding, marketing, content development, and design.
  • Must be able to multitask and effectively manage the timely delivery of work against short deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of social media KPIs.
