Role Overview
The Senior Communications Manager is the pillar and driver of the account team. This role, with 6-8 years of experience, is instrumental in providing exceptional client council and works side-by-side with the Communications Director to ensure best-in-class strategic plans are executed for their accounts. They provide insight and strategy for their clients and showcase deep knowledge of the earned media and its role within integrated marketing. This role is a true support to the senior members of the team and cross-agency, as well as being an inspiring leader to more junior members to foster their growth.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Client Service: Lead (and oversee) day-to-day account communications, showcasing strong client counsel with a deep understanding of brand ambitions.
- Bring culturally relevant, creative ideas to clients, proactively showcasing industry and category passion.
- Enact a solutions-forward approach, with resourcefulness and proactivity, acting as an extension of our clients’ in-house teams.
- Lead client meetings alongside the team, ensuring status updates, plans, and proposals are delivered impactfully and purposefully.
Management
- Act as a positive role model for your direct team, peers, and across the wider business.
- Lead junior team and act as a mentor to support in managing workload, R&Rs, and prioritization.
- Showcase expertise in the media landscape, supporting the team with informed guidance on pitching and seeding strategies.
- Manage appraisals for direct reports - create KPIs and objectives during review processes.
