Role Overview

The Senior Communications Manager is the pillar and driver of the account team. This role, with 6-8 years of experience, is instrumental in providing exceptional client council and works side-by-side with the Communications Director to ensure best-in-class strategic plans are executed for their accounts. They provide insight and strategy for their clients and showcase deep knowledge of the earned media and its role within integrated marketing. This role is a true support to the senior members of the team and cross-agency, as well as being an inspiring leader to more junior members to foster their growth.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Client Service: Lead (and oversee) day-to-day account communications, showcasing strong client counsel with a deep understanding of brand ambitions.
  • Bring culturally relevant, creative ideas to clients, proactively showcasing industry and category passion.
  • Enact a solutions-forward approach, with resourcefulness and proactivity, acting as an extension of our clients’ in-house teams.
  • Lead client meetings alongside the team, ensuring status updates, plans, and proposals are delivered impactfully and purposefully.

Management

  • Act as a positive role model for your direct team, peers, and across the wider business.
  • Lead junior team and act as a mentor to support in managing workload, R&Rs, and prioritization.
  • Showcase expertise in the media landscape, supporting the team with informed guidance on pitching and seeding strategies.
  • Manage appraisals for direct reports - create KPIs and objectives during review processes.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong written and verbal presentation skills showcasing strategic thinking and creative ideas that SEEN is known for.
  • Exceptional media relationships, showcasing media and influencer strategy building skills at all times, mining for top-tier headlines for brands.
  • Excellent pitching skills to convert high-quality results and growth for clients.
  • Continued growth and maintenance of a strong network of press and influencer relationships, securing media appointments on a monthly basis.
  • Excellent understanding of social media/trend-forward landscape, ensuring clients are provided with strategic recommendations that showcase creative thinking.
  • Eagerness to brainstorm collaboratively at all times, showcasing your strategic and creative thinking that your peers can utilize with their client portfolio.
  • Interest in supporting new business development, and when appropriate, taking part in the pitch team.

Finance

  • Responsible for account financial health, including budget tracking, expenses, timely delivery of POs, and strong internal relationships and WOW with SEEN’s finance team.
  • Support in identifying and presenting opportunities to organically grow existing client business by proactively pitching SEEN Group integrated ideas.
