This position is full-time, requires a hybrid work schedule, and is only available in New York City.

Responsibilities

  • Define & Drive the Vision: Establish and continually evolve Day One’s vision for earned measurement, ensuring our frameworks stay ahead of industry shifts and client needs.
  • Leadership & Team Development: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing measurement team. Invest in training, upskilling, and instilling best practices across the agency to further embed comms measurement into our team’s culture.
  • Client & C-Suite Partnership: Serve as senior counsel to clients, including direct interfacing with senior executives. Translate complex data into clear, compelling insights that influence decision-making at the highest levels.
  • Innovative Frameworks: Create and implement cutting-edge measurement frameworks that connect earned, owned, and paid media to business outcomes. Move beyond vanity metrics to demonstrate real impact on trust, perception, and consideration.
  • Toolstack Curator: Evolve and manage a modern, flexible measurement toolstack, ensuring the agency leverages best-in-class platforms for listening, analytics, and reporting. Stay ahead of emerging tools and approaches to keep D1A on the cutting edge.
  • AI Integration: Identify and integrate AI and automation tools into measurement workflows to enhance speed, scale, and insights, while ensuring human interpretation drives strategy.
  • Training & Upskilling: Lead internal education initiatives, ensuring the comms team is fluent in measurement principles, client reporting best practices, and D1A methodologies.
  • Thought Leadership and Industry Voice: Represent Day One externally as a leader in communications measurement. Build relationships and share perspectives through organizations (e.g. AMEC, ANA, PRSA), contributing to panels, publications, and events, positioning Day One as a forward-thinking authority on earned effectiveness.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with comms, creative, digital, and strategy leads to embed measurement thinking into campaign design and execution from the start.
  • Reporting & Design: Drive forward the style and clarity of our reporting frameworks—prioritizing storytelling, design thinking, and executive-friendly dashboards that resonate with leadership teams.
  • Agency SLT Contributor: Serve as a key voice on the Comms Senior Leadership Team, ensuring measurement is integrated into team-wide priorities and growth strategies.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 12-15 years agency experience, managing or contributing to creative ideation and campaign/asset execution.
  • Ability to connect big-picture strategy with tactical execution; conceptual, editorially minded, and skilled at creative storytelling across major and emerging platforms.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, with proven leadership, problem-solving, and people skills to inspire teams and clients alike.
  • Highly self-motivated, reliable, and organized; able to manage multiple priorities and pivot quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for teamwork, with experience building brand partnerships, integrated communications strategies, and large-scale event activations.
  • Resourceful, adaptable, and driven to deliver results in dynamic, evolving environments.
  • Prior PR agency experience, integrated comms expertise, and background in brand activations or partnerships are a plus.
  • The ideal candidate will excel at seamlessly supporting and delivering results across diverse clients and categories — including travel, financial services, lifestyle, consumer tech, fashion, and beverage.

The Company is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base compensation range for this role is $190,000-$220,000 and this position is eligible for benefits that include medical insurance (health, dental, and vision), retirement plan, paid time off, paid parental leave, new business and employee referral bonuses, etc. Please note that the compensation information provided is a good-faith estimate for New York City-based hires only and is provided pursuant to the New York City Pay Transparency Law. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as candidates' relevant work experience, skills, qualifications, and location.
