Gemfields hosted an intimate breakfast at Bergdorf Goodman’s BG Restaurant for editors, designers and Bergdorf Goodman fine jewelry associates, to celebrate the launch of Ruby, a lavishly illustrated book following the history of Rubies; the king of gems. Author Joanna Hardy flew in from London and presented a visual history of the ruby. In attendance was W’s Grace Fuller, InStyle’s Sam Broekema and Ruthie Friedlander, Kate Davidson Hudson and Stefania Allen from Editorialist, Shane Clark from Brides and more, along with jewelry designers Margery Hirschey, Michelle Fantaci, and Heena Shah from Valani. Also on display were rough and polished rubies and jewelry from Glenn Sprio, Silvia Furmanovich, Kimberly McDonald, Buccellati, Verdura and Bayco Jewels.
