Harry Belafonte, Rosario Dawson and Patrick Demarchelier were honored at the sold-out black-tie amfAR New York Gala at Cipriani Wall Street. Awards were presented by Whoopi Goldberg, Chris Rock and Anna Wintour, respectively.  The gala, which kicked off New York Fashion Week and drew many leaders of the fashion community, featured a high-octane performance by legendary British singer Dame Shirley Bassey.  The event raised more than $2 million for amfAR’s AIDS research programs.
