Brilliant minds including Lisa Smilor of the CFDA, Roopal Patel, Cindy Gallop, Lily Kwong and others from Makerbot, Pratt, and American Express gathered at Starlab, Starwood Hotels new design and innovation HQ located in the Garment District for a special hackathon/thinktank event on Wednesday, February 4th.  

The four-hour brainstorm session involved generating ideas to solve for challenges of the Garment District Alliance - and was Starwood's way of giving back to their new neighborhood. At the conclusion of the night, participant presented their ideas to a panel including actor/designer Waris Ahluwalia, Jennifer Hyman, Founder of Rent the Runway and Danny Seo, Editor in Chief of Naturally.
