W Hotels partnered with Jennifer Hudson and the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) to launch ‘TURN IT UP FOR CHANGE,’ an initiative designed to help raise awareness and funds for marriage equality in the US. Jennifer Hudson performed at the kick-off event at W New York – Union Square and will be preforming  at several others throughout the course of the next year. W, along with the HRC, will be bringing monthly TURN IT UP FOR CHANGE events to W hotels around the country, in which a portion of the proceeds - determined by the number of states that allow same-sex marriage – will be donated to HRC. (For example, currently 32 states have legalized same-sex marriage, so 32% of all bar revenue from TURN IT UP FOR CHANGE events will be donated to HRC.)
