The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York hosted the Costume Institute Gala on May 2, 2016. This year's Spring exhibition, aptly named Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology, was centered around the intersection between technology and fashion. The benefit was co-chaired by Idris Elba, Jonathan Ive, Taylor Swift, and Anna Wintour, with Honorary Chairs Nicolas Ghesquière, Karl Lagerfeld, and Miuccia Prada.
