The Women’s Committee of the Central Park Conservancy recently hosted their annual Fall Luncheon. The event raised over $325,000 in crucial funds for the Park’s maintenance, management, and restoration.

The mission of the Central Park Conservancy is to give life to the core purpose of Central Park: maintaining it as a respite from the pace and pressures of city life for all New Yorkers and visitors. With that, the funds raised by the Conservancy’s events, including the Women’s Committee Fall Luncheon, are essential to supporting every aspect of the daily care of Central Park.

Event co-chairs Michèle Brazil, Ranika Cohen, Stephanie Hessler, and Nicole Nunag, Women’s Committee President, Jenny Price, and Central Park Conservancy President & CEO, Betsy Smith, were joined by nearly 400 guests on the sunny autumn afternoon. Those in attendance included Judy Hart Angelo, Katherine Gage Boulud, Ainsley Earhardt, Jocelyn Gailliot, Gillian Hearst, Tracey Huff, Sharon Jacob, Alexia Leuschen, Gillian Miniter, Margo M. Nederlander, Jenny Paulson, Hal Rubenstein, and Barbara H. Scott.

Women’s Committee President, Jenny Price, welcomed the group at Bethesda Terrace remarking, “The Women’s Committee is thrilled to bring together this incredible group of people who are completely dedicated to ensuring the long-term care of Central Park. We are so grateful for their generosity and support of the Conservancy’s mission.”

“The Conservancy’s important work would not be possible without the support of our loyal and dedicated friends,” said Betsy Smith, President & CEO, Central Park Conservancy. “I’m grateful to Jenny and the entire Women's Committee for raising critical funds to help the Park remain a beautiful respite for all New Yorkers.”

Guests enjoyed a fall-inspired lunch catered by Canard and centerpieces by Flowers by Philip at three different locations throughout the Park including Bethesda Terrace, Glade Arch, and King Jagiello Plaza.

Following the seated luncheon, all guests were welcomed to meet at Bethesda Terrace to mingle and enjoy the beauty of one of Central Park’s most iconic architectural features.
