Object & Thing recently opened their exhibition, A Summer Arrangement, at LongHouse, located at the home and sculpture garden of celebrated textile designer and collector, Jack Lenor Larsen. Larsen's practice of arrangement was an art form in its own right and has inspired a unique collaboration between LongHouse and Object & Thing, with a project team that includes: Carrie Barratt; co-curators, Glenn Adamson, LongHouse curator-at-large; and Abby Bangser, Object & Thing founder; alongside Colin King, installation designer. A Summer Arrangement takes inspiration from Larsen's non-hierarchical approach to objects and brings together contemporary works, including site-specific commissions, of both art and design. All of the works are made from materials akin to those that Larsen made and collected, such as ceramic, fiber, glass, metal, and wood.

Guests of the soiree included: Nate Berkus & Jeremiah Brent, Athena Calderone, Jordan Carlyle, Robin Standefer & Stephen Alesch, as well as exhibiting artists Rashid Johnson, Frances Palmer, Sophie Lou Jacobson, and Simone Bodmer-Turner. Chef Romilly Newman catered for the evening.

The exhibition will be on view on weekends through Labor Day Weekend and a percentage of sales will be donated to LongHouse Reserve, a non-profit arts and educational institution.
