Storm King Art Center kicked it off with their annual Exhibitions Opening Celebration over the weekend, presenting a special exhibition by artist Wangechi Mutu and Outlooks artist Brandon Ndife. The star-studded event featured remarks by Storm King President John P. Stern and Artistic Director & Chief Curator Nora Lawrence, along with remarks by the headlining artists. Notable attendees included Christy Turlington Burns, Courtney B. Vance (also a Storm King Trustee), artist LaToya Ruby Frazier, Metropolitan Museum of Art curator Sarah E. Lawrence, Whitney Museum of American Art curator Jane Panetta, and artist Lee Quiñones, among many other influential artists and art world insiders.
