Notable guests in Washington, D.C. joined La Grande Dame by Veuve Clicquot to celebrate the opening of the highly-anticipated exhibition One with Eternity: Yayoi Kusama in the Hirshhorn Collection (opening to the public on April 1, 2022). As lead partner in the exhibition, La Grande Dame celebrated the opening with an intimate luncheon, honoring the visionary work of modern La Grande Dame: Yayoi Kusama. The storied French champagne House is proud to stand as the lead partner of the exhibition, continuing its commitment to supporting creative voices and its longstanding relationship with the visionary artist, who lent her signature dot motif to the La Grande Dame 2012 cuveé. 

The event included welcoming remarks from Hirshhorn Director Melissa Chiu, followed by a toast from La Grande Dame’s Sr. Brand Director, Adriana Angulo who introduced the luncheon’s special guest and modern Grande Dame in her own right, poet Cleo Wade. Wade marked the event with a performance of her poem “What Comes After Darkness,” inspired by the optimistic expression of La Grande Dame, immersing guests as they toasted to the exhibit and its renowned creator.
