A24, OpenTable, and the talented cast of the film celebrated the release of TONY in New York City. The film, directed by Matt Johnson, captures one transformative summer for a 19-year-old Anthony Bourdain, who travels to Provincetown and stumbles into the chaotic world of a restaurant kitchen.
The evening drew a dynamic mix of figures from food, film, and entertainment, bringing together the creative team behind the film alongside an influential crowd of chefs, filmmakers, media personalities, and cultural tastemakers. Stars Dominic Sessa and Stavros Halkias were joined by director, writer, and producer Matt Johnson; writer and producer Matt Miller; producers Trevor White, Tim White, and Kim Witherspoon; writers Todd Bartels and Lou Howe; composer Jay McCarroll; and executive producers Amy Greene and Alex Terzieff. They were joined by notable guests including Eric Ripert, Ira Glass, Josh Safdie, Marcus Samuelsson, Gail Simmons, Cole Sprouse, Kareem Rahma, Gabrielle Hamilton, Samah Dada, Chris Black, and more.
