Daniella Kallmeyer, Founder and Creative Director of KALLMEYER, and Gabriel Hendifar, Co-Founder and Artistic Director of APPARATUS, hosted a special ‘Café Kallmeyer’ soirée that kicked off Pride weekend and the summer season, in celebration of Daniella’s fortieth birthday. The lively evening at the interdisciplinary design studio APPARATUS brought together notable figures across fashion, film, music, design, and culture, including Britt Lower, Louisa Jacobson, Maggie Rogers, Sarita Choudhury, Jackson Wiederhoeft, Rebecca Dayan, Derek Blasberg, Recho Omondi, Abbi Jacobson, Toni Garrn, and Jodi Balfour, among many other friends of the brands.
Guests enjoyed YOLA martinis and a café dinner service by acclaimed chef Jeremiah Stone throughout the sumptuous rooms of APPARATUS, while Chelsea Leyland set the tone with a DJ set that carried throughout the evening. Throughout the evening, bespoke "Kall Gal" tees—spotted on guests including Britt Lower—were served on silver platters as a playful nod to the community at the heart of the Kallmeyer brand.
In keeping with the spirit of Café Kallmeyer—a roving cultural salon created by Daniella Kallmeyer to celebrate the community of creatives that continues to inspire her brand—the evening featured a series of live performances curated in collaboration with creative producers Souvenir Shop, creating moments of joy, spontaneity, and celebration throughout the night.
Ahead of the festive cake reveal, guests were treated to a choreographed dance moment led by Kevin Stea, known for his groundbreaking work on Madonna's Blond Ambition World Tour, alongside ballroom pioneer Javier Martine Rose, Les Ballet Afrik performer Alora Tonielle Martinez, and Charlie Sue Birznieks, a fixture of New York's club-kid scene.
Later, Emmy Award-winning composer, performer, and music director Lance Horne, closed the evening by gathering guests around the piano for an intimate late-night cabaret alongside acclaimed collaborators, including Cats: The Jellicle Ball star Emma Sofia Pfaeffle, OBIE Award honoree Elijah Caldwell, and writer-performer Christian Lee Branch, bringing the celebration to a joyful close.
