The Glass House Summer Party brought together a site-responsive performance program where art, architecture, and landscape converged across the Glass House grounds. Presented as a defining highlight of the annual gathering, the afternoon unfolded as a singular performance experience shaped by its setting and the dialogue between artists and place.
For this year’s edition, SAINT HERON curated the performance program, bringing together a series of live works that activated the site throughout the afternoon. Malcolm Merriweather and Artina McCain performed an excerpt of SAINT HERON’s Glory to Glory, showcasing the works of Mary Lou Williams, accompanied by a dance performance choreographed by Kyle Abraham. Gio Escobar of Standing On The Corner provided musical accompaniment and celebratory soundscapes across the grounds, contributing to the evolving atmosphere of the event.
SAINT HERON is a multidisciplinary creative agency and cultural institution that evolved from a music-focused community into a platform dedicated to preserving, collecting, and uplifting BIPOC artists and stories across art, design, architecture, and literature. Its work spans a digital library of rare Black literature, artist residencies, and curated design objects.
