Twin change-makers Shay and Shabnam Safarzadeh hosted the Journey of Giving Dinner at The Ned NYC — an intimate gathering centered on advancing women’s education and expanding global opportunity through the Safar Global Foundation.

Shabnam and Shay Safarzadeh were joined by honorees Renata Assis and Amanda Cirello, alongside Flaviana Matata, Charlie Walk, Alexandra Richards, Jennifer Fisher, and other leaders across philanthropy, fashion, entertainment, and business.

Presented by Safar Global Foundation, the evening brought together a curated community of influential leaders for a night of meaningful conversation, storytelling, and connection centered around impact and systems change.

The program included remarks from Shay Safarzadeh, Shabnam Safarzadeh, honoree Amanda Cirello, and honoree Renata Assis, each speaking to their personal connection to purpose-driven work and the importance of expanding access to education and opportunity for women and girls globally.

Opening remarks were delivered by Ayaan Ahmed, Executive Director and Chief Policy Advocate of Safar Global Foundation, who thanked guests for their continued support and highlighted the organization’s continued progress in funding scholarships for girls in Tanzania, supporting WASH (Water, Sanitation & Hygiene) infrastructure serving more than 930 students and teachers, and launching accredited healthcare training pathways for young women.

Set within The Ned NYC, the dinner reflected Safar Global Foundation’s ongoing commitment to convening thoughtful, purpose-driven gatherings that sit at the intersection of culture and impact.
