Internationally acclaimed artist Tomokazu Matsuyama unveiled his latest work, Morning Again, as part of the Times Square Arts Midnight Moment program, marking an electrifying milestone in his evolving practice. Matsuyama honored the occasion with a celebratory evening, gathering his closest muses, friends, and supporters at the Times Square EDITION before heading to the Red Steps to watch the project illuminate Times Square.
Notable guests included Alex Consani, Lulu Tenney, Kemio, Hank Willis Thomas, Yashua Kole, Mounir Sakho, Sarah Gore Reeves, Ina Johannesen Dibley, Belinda Tate, and Sharon Matt Atkins.
From dinner to the artwork viewing in Times Square, the night brought together an impressive mix of the city’s creative voices across art, fashion, music, and beyond—highlighting the beauty of Matsuyama’s community.
Morning Again is on view across over 90 electronic billboards nightly from 11:57 PM to midnight through April 30, and pays homage to the individual and collective lives that make up New York City.
